Web Trends Report

In this learning plan we had discovered how any different tools and resources there are to utilize in the web development field. We had gone through in our first learning plan and had found what trends were currently being used today in web sites. It is important to stay on top of the new trends that are emerging in this field due to the constant changes in technology. In keeping up with the new tools and resources this will make you a better web developer by being aware of what is new and what is being outdated. In this report that I had created for LP1 I had highlighted what current trends were being used in web development.

Mobile Conversion Project

In this learning plan we had discussed the importance of mobile optimized websites. With almost everyone today owning a mobile phone, they are accessing the web from their smartphones at a fast rate. In working on this assignment, I had learned that it is the easiest to build the website from a mobile platform up. This allows you to make sure that the website is optimized for smaller screens using media queries. As the view of the web site gets larger for either tablets or desktops, you have more room to structure the website.

Parallax Website

In this course we were given self-chosen projects based on the current trends that we had found. I had never designed a website that had a parallax to it. A parallax website allows the user to scroll no different than any other site. The difference with a parallax site is that the images placed, scroll through the whole picture. This makes it, so the viewer can see all of the contents of the image as they scroll through the site. Building a site like this gives the viewer a more interactive feel when visiting a website.
