Vr Websites
Virtual reality has been around since the late 1980's. It had become main stream in the video game industry. This allowed people to become fully immersed in the game, making for a unique experience. Websites today are utilizing VR technology to help showcase their products. Real estate companies are using VR to show the rooms of the home, allowing consumers to get a feel for what it is like to walk through the home. Car manufacturers are using VR to help showcase the interior of their vehicles. As of lately some concerts and live events have been recorded in VR to give the viewer an experience as if they are at the concert. To make add a VR aspect to a website, there are frameworks available that allow you to construct what you want the viewer to see. I had used A-frame for the project I had created. I had added images and had rotated and changed the placement to make the person standing in outer space. I had also created a rotating sphere and had added an image of the earth. I had a lot of fun in working on this project.

Social Media Project
In this class we were given the task of looking at social media and how it can be used for business purposes. Social media had started off as something where users could post content about their life events or what they are interested in. The user would post this information for family and friends to see. As social media had grown in popularity businesses had started to create profiles. Business profiles allow the business to post about their products and promotions. This is an effective way of marketing due to 69% of the population using social media. Today most social media users are viewing and posting on their smartphones. At any given time, you can look around a room and find either people on their phones or their phones near them. The social media apps push notifications to the user’s phone when someone they are following makes a post or sends them a message. With everyone using mobile phones like this it makes social media a great way to market a business. In working on this project, I had created an Instagram under a fictitious watch re-selling business. I had posted pictures of the watches that were available for sale with a brief description. In making posts I had used the hashtags to tag the posts that pertained to the watch post with the most followers to the hashtag. A part of this project was to use a new software to help with the social media project. After making a few posts I had used a website called Hootsuite. This site allows you to manage multiple social media accounts through one website. The website also allows you to view analytics on the posts you have made and see what hashtags are bringing the most people to your posts. I had used this to change the times I had posted due to higher traffic and had used it to change the hashtags I was using in the posts. After using Hootsuite, I had used a recording software that is built into Safari on Mac. I had recorded myself going through in Instagram and Hootsuite to gain analytics on the posts I had made.
